It is a set it and forget it - no heating up the oven, and you will thank yourself
ps, I use oatmeal & it’s still my preferred dry ingredient over breadcrumbs - I think it is a texture thing?
pps, sometimes - ok, most of the time I don’t measure - it’s that forgiving.
Family Favorite Crockpot Meatloaf
Yield: 4-5
Hearty and delicious, with just a few ingredients, this meatloaf recipe will be family favorite!
Ingredients
Meatloaf
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup oatmeal
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 small onion chopped, or a couple tablespoons dried minced garlic (time saver)
Sauce
- 1 c. ketchup (or a mix of ketchup and your favorite bbq sauce)
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 T. dried minced onion
Instructions
- Mix meat mixture together - get your hands dirty!
- Form in to desired shape, or even in to smaller meatballs
- Place in slow cooker that has been lined with foil.
- Top with sauce. You can do this right from the start, or before serving.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours (or until internal temperature is at least 160 degrees.
